Slimming: Valérie Orsoni's 10 anti-kilo rules

Coach Valérie Orsoni explains to us which foods to favor and which to banish from your diet when you want to lose a few pounds in a short time. The goal is not to unbalance your diet but to identify foods that are really good for the body.

We eliminate the meat

During this program, all acidifying foods are eliminated. And meat is particularly so. In addition, red meat provides saturated fat, and we eat it most often with fatty garnishes (fries, potato gratin, very seasoned salad …) So focus on fish, seafood and shellfish, and vegetable proteins of course.

Stop dairy products

During these thirty days of program, we stop dairy products. Whole, they add unnecessary lipids to the diet and in any case, they can cause fermentation and bloating because of their lactose (the main sugar in dairy products). Prefer soy “yogurts”, vegetable milks (almond, soy, rice…). If you have a yogurt maker, you can prepare your “yogurts” using specific enzymes (Nat-Ali in organic stores).

We adopt gluten-free menus

“During the digestion process, enzymes are activated in the stomach and then in the duodenum to break down proteins,” explains Valérie Orsoni. But the wheat protein, gliadin, is so special that it will resist and arrive almost intact in the intestine. It is absorbed there with the other proteins, which are in the form of peptides and amino acids. In some people, who are not intolerant, it can still trigger gluten sensitivity (stomach aches, heaviness, bloating, etc.). Other proteins, such as those from barley, rye or oats, can cause the same reaction. “During these thirty days, we therefore remove the bread and pasta, which we replace with buckwheat pancakes, rice, quinoa …

Zero alcohol

Empty calories, an acidifying effect on the body, a high glycemic load … Alcohol is perfectly useless for the body. And as much as a glass of red wine can provide antioxidants, as much a Mojito or a Pina Colada will go directly to the capitons. No way !

More yeast products

“The yeast present in food (breads, pastries, pastries, etc.) encourages the development of candida albicans,” explains Valérie Orsoni. This yeast can be present in the body without causing damage, but in excess, it has the effect of tiring the body. ” Candida could also, through various means, encourage weight gain and fluid retention. Thus, the menus offered do not contain any product containing yeast (baking soda and baking powder are not a problem).

10 fruits and vegetables per day

Because they are rich in fiber and draining and diuretic compounds, we increase the consumption of fruits and vegetables (ideally, organic). “I don’t like to count,” says Valérie Orsoni. The bottom line is that there are 10 different fruits and vegetables on your menus every day, no matter how much. ” Besides their supply of vitamins and minerals, their soluble fibers give them appetite suppressing properties. Once in the stomach, they absorb the surrounding fluid and swell, providing a feeling of fullness. They are found in good quantities in apples, citrus fruits, eggplant, carrots, zucchini …

Wild fish or nothing

Fish is good, but only if it is well fed and does not contain pollutants. We therefore prefer small fish, such as anchovies and sardines, as well as wild fish from Alaska and those from organic farms. On the other hand, we too often consume carnivorous and river fish, which contain mercury and pollutants (tuna, swordfish, sea bream …).

Legumes

Vegetable proteins are your detox allies. They provide a lot of fiber, hence better elimination, and (a little) of unsaturated fats, beneficial. You can find all of the amino acids necessary for the body through various combinations: cereals + pulses (rice + red beans like chili, bulgur + chickpeas like couscous …), cereals + oilseeds (pasta with pine nuts, rice + pistachios Indian style rice…). Also consider quinoa and buckwheat, which contain all the essential amino acids.

Draining infusions

During the day, drink water, tea, herbal teas (the one with cherry tails is particularly diuretic) or better still, sobacha. Based on buckwheat, this traditional health drink in Japan is rich in minerals, soluble fibers and rutin, a flavonoid good for blood circulation. Without caffeine, it can be drunk at any time of the day.

Low glycemic carbohydrates

Foods with a high GI promote storage. We therefore limit sweets, but also starches that are very cooked or mashed (white rice and too soft white pasta, mashed potatoes, etc.), white breads, crumbs and brioches. We therefore keep starchy foods at least two times a day but we choose “raw” cereals (quinoa, buckwheat …) and pulses (lentils, chickpeas, dried beans …) In addition to being satiating, the energy provided by these is easily burned and not stored.
