We offer 3 juices, made from mixtures of fruits and vegetables.
Natural fruit juices, prepared with a good juicer and using fresh, organically grown produce, where possible, are an excellent adjunct to any weight loss program, as well as aiding in better health.
1- Tomato, celery, spinach
Tomatoes:
The tomato is said to be a real fat burner. Low in carbohydrates, its glycemic index is 38.
It is rich in potassium, magnesium, vitamin C and other minerals and vitamins.
Celery:
It is a food that brings its share of nutrients to the body. It provides calcium, iron, potassium, sodium, vitamins A, B and C. Its diuretic properties make it an excellent ally in any detoxification and elimination cure.
Spinach:
In addition to providing iron, magnesium, calcium, vitamin C, group B vitamins and many other phytochemicals, spinach is rich in chlorophyll. This allows to oxygenate the body, to detoxify it and above all to maintain the acid-base balance.
Preparation of the juice: 4 to 5 very ripe tomatoes, 4 stalks of celery and 1 or 2 handfuls of spinach leaves (organic if possible, spinach being one of the vegetables most contaminated in chemicals). This juice should be drunk between meals.
2- Apple, lemon, grapefruit
Apple :
It helps lower the level of carbohydrates in the blood and also lowers the production of insulin, the weight gain hormone. The high pectin content of apples promotes fat metabolism.
Lemons and grapefruits:
They work by lowering blood glucose levels and lowering the production of insulin by the pancreas, while increasing metabolism which helps burn fat.
Research suggests that consuming citrus fruits either whole or as a juice a few minutes before a meal would lose an average of 2 pounds per month, while consuming a normal meal.
Preparation of the juice: 60% apples, 20% lemons, 20% grapefruit. If you are on medication, eliminate the grapefruit and increase the lemon proportions. This juice should be consumed 20 minutes before meals.
3- Pineapple, papaya, lime (small limes)
Pineapple:
An excellent source of nutrients that activate fat metabolism, such as manganese, magnesium, iodine, vitamin C and fiber. Pineapple also contains a valuable digestive and anti-inflammatory enzyme, bromelain, an enzyme that aids digestion by breaking down proteins.
Papaya:
A fruit rich in vitamin C, enzymes playing an essential role in digestion and in the metabolism of fats, which it helps to eliminate.
Lime:
(see lemons and grapefruits)
Preparation of the juice: 50% pineapple, 40% papaya and 10% lime This juice, which is richer in carbohydrates, should be consumed at the end of the meal. Eating higher carbohydrate or high glycemic index foods at the end of a meal has been shown to affect the total blood sugar of the meal much less than at the start. In addition, due to its high content of digestive enzymes, this juice will have a beneficial effect on digestion.
